THUMBNAIL SKETCHES

7:00, 1977. I showed Mary Beams a flipbook containing sequences of small drawings on each page. There was no page-to-page continuity. Mary was frustrated. I cut apart each page and animated each tiny sequence. We watched and talked about the work on Dick Rogers' Steenbeck. To make the film the flipbook had to be destroyed.
